Mihara Yasuhiro first made his name in the fashion industry by designing footwear, and has collaborated with sneaker giants like PUMA. 1994 saw the designer launch his first line of shoes while he was still studying at Tama Art University, which was well-received and even praised for its innovative and modern designs. After receiving good reviews and a decent reputation, Yasuhiro eventually launched his shoe label MIHARAYASUHIRO in 1998, which he remains an integral part of the brand’s vision and guidance. That same year, Yasuhiro also unveiled his first store, SOSU, which means “prime number” in Japanese, in the Aoyama area of Tokyo. While MIHARAYASUHIRO has since expanded to offering menswear collections, Yasuhiro is still regarded as a strong influencer and designer in the footwear market.
