Larry Clark (b. 1943, Tulsa OK) is an American film director, photographer, and artist known for his work which focuses primarily on controversial, unvarnished depictions of adolescent sexuality, violence, and drug use.

Heroin 3 is from Clark's series of abstract paintings made between 2013-14 while he was was withdrawing from an addiction to opiate medications prescribed to him after undergoing spinal surgery.
